How we met
I guess you can say we met in a very unique way. It was back in the summer of 2001, Mark was out at a bar with his friends and I was there with mine. As everyone knows how oblivious both of us are, we were sitting right next to each other for who knows long and suddenly…and Mark by some mysterious force literally fell into my lap. I remember him looking at me and saying, “Hey, you’re cute! Wanna go out?” and I thought he was cute too, so I said “yes!” I guess you could say we literally fell in love. He took me to Il Sorrento and we were there forever, it was then when we realized how much in common we had with one another.
We dated over the summer but both of us were in different places so we went in different directions. One of the things that make our story so unique, is that even though we didn’t have contact with one another for some strange reason we kept running into each other. As my friend Susan said “Sandy, quit stalking him!” Until one day her and I were having lunch and ran into Mark, she couldn’t believe it. She never said anything else after that.
Then suddenly last year out of the blue while searching for creative inspiration for work, I came across his web site and sent him an IM message saying hello. He replied the next day and immediately asked me out. We realized how much we liked and missed each other, so we kept our relationship very quiet. We just wanted to take everything slow and take our time, and we have been together ever since.
